About company:
Since our first site opened in 1986 the Wessex Garages Group has grown to become one of the UK’s largest and most successful automotive dealership networks. Today we operate a number of sites across South Wales and the West, where we work on behalf of the industry’s biggest manufacturers. They include Nissan, Kia, Hyundai, Mazda and Mitsubishi who we represent through the highest standards of customer service. For these leading brands we supply new and used cars and vans, deliver after sales support and champion the Motability Scheme. Both private and business customers are served from each of our locations, and no matter who walks through our doors we strive to leave them feeling fully supported and rewarded. We do this by providing generous offers and a wide range of vehicle choice alongside our excellent customer service. Award-winning guidance and real value are at the heart of what we do, and you can benefit from both today. I have been a customer of Wessex Kia Gloucester since 2010. I have bought 4 cars from them in this time an when buying the service has been fairly good. However, my Sportage that i have only driven 10K miles in clutch went and i drove it to Kia Gloucester. They said it wasn’t under warranty as a wear and tear item of the car. They also advised that they couldn’t look at it for 2 weeks as they had a backlog. I asked for a courtesy car but they said they had no cars available. Kia called me to say they had recognised the fault but to just look at the gear box would cost over £550. My car was scheduled to be seen last week on Friday but then something else took priority so it was pushed back another week! I asked for the sales team to call me as i thought i might just give my car back and buy another newer model, they never called and the service representative aid he had chased them 4 times to get in touch. Today i took the car back and have gone elsewhere for it to be fixed and no doubt will be much cheaper. I am astounded that a customer of 10yrs has been treated so poorly and i can 100% say i will not be getting my fifth car from them and certainly wont be getting any Kia in the future. Such a shame i’m totally gutted!
Booked car in for a service came back with white specks of paint on which was later washed and came off. Aftersales service a joke poor service will never buy a car from Wessex.
I will try to keep it short about the terrible Service related experience with Wessex Garages. I made an appointment for changing tyres on my car by Phone with a person – Contact Centre Supervisor @ Wessex, Newport. Later I send them the details of the tyre size etc in an email. I also stated in the email that I have a voucher from Dacia for £200, so would like the cost of the tyres not to exceed the voucher amount. The appointment date and time was all agreed in the email chain from Wessex, Newport and I arrived on the appointment date only to be turned away. !! Reason – We cannot accept Dacia vouchers on a Saturday. !!! I said nobody mentioned anything like this re. Saturday appointments, but the guy on the Service desk – he was simply dismissive, he did not care. He wont even book me for next available date on a weekday. It seems they have an issue with Dacia Vouchers and they dont like to honour the vouchers. Later in the week I wrote to their Managing Director but to my surprise I did not even get a phone call or any letter or email apologising for their conduct or offering to rebook the customer. Absolutely nothing from their MD, so you can imagine why the staff behave like this. I have read reviews of Wessex in Google and other review sites like this and the theme is – Sweet Sales and Sad Service.
